Age UK Essex will be visiting Beaumont House in Walton-on-the-Naze on Wednesday 11 October to deliver an overview of their services for the local community.
The talk, which is open to all, will start at 11am and will be followed by tours of Beaumont House. Refreshments will be provided.
Age UK Essex aims promote the wellbeing of all older people in the county, supporting people to live fulfilling and enjoyable lives.
They provide vital support services as well as expert information and advice on all aspects of later life. Services include befriending, toenail cutting, advocacy and home help.
Beaumont House, which was part-funded by Essex County Council and Tendring District Council, is managed by Season.
It offers 60 self-contained Independent Living apartments designed to meet local people’s changing needs in later life.
Independent Living housing is sometimes referred to as Assisted Living or Extra Care. It is seen as a positive alternative to residential care homes for people who can continue to live independently in later life.
